My illustration and design practice is greatly inspired by Japanese design and consumer culture. From high end product design to posters, to character goods, I found myself inspired by the different paths illustration can take compared to the 2D printed route. This year I set out to explore these paths and experiment with my illustrations and learn new skills, from software and workshops, to improving my own illustrative practice.

On top of this, I am very passionate about giving marginalised groups a voice, and most importantly educating people through visual culture and design. Throughout history design has influenced society, and I believe it is our duty to be more inclusive and challenge what is ‘normal’. Reaching out to those groups and getting primary research has been an educational and eye-opening part of my practice.
